Trillian for BlackBerry Launches 1.1.0.1 Beta: Landscape Support and More

I’ll admit… I stopped using Trillian for BlackBerry after a while and went back to my separate IM clients on my BlackBerry, mostly because it lacked landscape support on my Storm and it didn’t integrate with the message list.  Well, the guys over at Cerulean Studios keep pulling me back in with their new beta v1.1.0.1.  Here are a list of the fixes they have included here

  • Landscape support.
  • Messages inbox integration.
  • New emoticon button and browser.
  • Group contact list by service.
  • Option to start Trillian on device boot.
  • Much faster opening of message windows.
  • ‘Connect all’ and ‘disconnect all’ options.
  • Various bugfixes and minor improvements.

Basically they fixed all of the problem that I had with the previous release.  Now they’ve got me thinking about buying it in the App World for $4.99 again.  Before you spring for the cash there are 2 important things you should know. 1) These new features are only up in the beta which is not available in the App World and 2) Cerulean Studios is offering this beta as a free download for anybody who wants to test.  I haven’t played with it enough yet to recommend it fully, but this beta is very promising.  Try the beta at the link below and let us know what you think.

  1. Howdy would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with? I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m having a difficult time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
